So this rambling will be about a couple of things…Good Charlotte and hot guys I’ve been going ga-ga over.

First off, Good Charlotte. What the hell. They release a new album here. I got it, thanks to Cheryl Loke who sacrificed her dignity to the Hitz.fm cruisers to get this CD for me when they came over to our Mass Colympics event. Oh by the way, thanks for coming everyone! XD Hope you guys had fun, we know the lecturers did *cough*creaming you guys in paintball*cough*! Anyway as I was saying, the CD was good, one of the best albums (as a whole) I’ve listened to in a long time. I have a review on it on my profile page.

Then I hear they’re coming to Malaysia. Whoop-de-doo…me and Karen were discussing on going. But it was difficult to get information on the concert. Then Izham says he’s ordered tickets online through credit card ourchase, WTF?! Then when I got home, I did some research, and lo and behold, Good Charlotte’s concert is effing INVITE-ONLY. I felt like choking on a coconut and dying there and then. So I decided to try my luck in scoring invites. I entered the MTV Asia contest as well as the Digi sms contest. Thing is, I answered these sms questions and after everything they said I can only be eligible if I download some mobile shit from Digi that has to do with GC. Problem is there was no frickin’ info on the downloads wherever. I spent a day looking for info and where did I find it? At Digi’s official website, I feel like an idiot, make that two coconuts now. After downloading, I was afraid that I would not be eligible anymore cos wasted a whole day before actually downloading the thing (The River ringtone, I can make a better quality one  on Audacity by myself). So I called Digi customer service….it took me a whole 20 minutes to get past the stupid voice machine that prompted me to press numbers for various God-forsaken reasons. Then I spend another 30 minutes trying to ask this lady ONE simple question, why 30 minutes? Cos she put me on hold, three fucking times. I can only hope for the best, and maybe if I catch Izham once more, I’ll ask him about tickets…

Okay now for the best bit! XD Hot guys! Like OHMAIGAWD! So I’m only really melting into 3 guys eyes now. Let’s see, what could be behind lucky curtain number 1?! *pulls curtain*

We have Jensen Ackles!! XD Gah he’s soooooo hawt!! Look at those
defined facial features, that stubbly chin, that stare!! He plays the
older half of the Winchester brothers: Dean Winchester. I love his
character Dean, he’s so cool, he has a passion for ROCK (ROCK
*headbangs*), and he loves his little brother Sammy so much! And Jensen…gods, I just melt in his gaze, he’s sooooo yum! Xanseviera, thanks for getting me hooked on this dreamboat!

Next we have Santiago Cabrera!! He’s sooooo sexy!! He plays Isaac
Mendez in Heroes, and he has the coolest superpower ever!! XD He can
paint the future!! My kind of power! He’s so sexy, he has the rough
sexy look, Gods when he starts painting, his pupils turn white, now
that’s frickin’ awesome! Plus, he’s Spanish… 8D

Then we have Milo Ventimiglia, who plays Peter Petrelli in heroes too. OHMAIGAWD he’s soooo cute!!! I’m officially a Milo fangirl!! His eyes are adorable and he kinda reminds me of Tobey Maguire, though I’m not really big on Tobey. He’s lacto-vegetarian, isn’t that adorable? XD And he’s a mixed kid, with all kinds of descents….including…ITALIAN…yeap….sexy… *drools*

Last on the list is Reuben Langdon. Yeah I know, you’re wondering, who???? Reuben Langdon is a stuntman and fight scene choreographer. He usually has minor parts (usually as bad guys, sidekicks and minions) in action movies and TV shows, like Jackie Chan’s The Medallion and Kamen Rider (Masked Rider for you guys who don’t understand Japanese, oh he speaks excellent Japanese by the way).

Lolz, how did I notice him? It all began with a girl named Xanseviera, who updated her DA journal about a recent anime convention in the USA called "Tales of Anime" (I think it’s a Tales of the Abyss pun). Apparently the voice actors for Dante, Vergil and Nero of the Devil May Cry series were there, Vergil’s being Dan Southworth, Nero’s being Johnny Yong Bosch and Dante’s being…Reuben Langdon. They had some speech on stage (all except for Reuben sadly, couldn’t hear his voice) and Dan started goofing around calling Johnny his ’son’. He said and I quote "Johnny why don’t you come up here and join the fun? *looks at crowd* This is my son…" Then Johnny goes up to him and hugs him…lawl…Vergil….goofing around?! O_o And Vergil calling Nero his ’son’…is this a plot leak for Devil May Cry 4?!

ANYWAY, I checked Reuben out, and good Gods, not only is he Dante’s voice actor, he’s Dante’s motion actor too! All the moves and actions Dante makes in the game, came from him!! It was cool, I watched a video on Youtube, featuring him and the other DMC cast doing their stunts in their motion capture suits, with a comparison to the moves in the game. Next-level stuff. His voice…the Dante voice!! *squeals* AND, he makes for a killer Dante, if they ever were to make a movie out of DMC, he’d be sooooo awesome for the role, he’s so sexy!

Doesn’t he look awesome?! *rabid fangirl spasms*

Anyway, it’s late, gonna go to bed now and dream of either scoring tix to GC’s concert, or getting a PS3 so I can play Devil May Cry 4 and hear Reuben, Johnny and possibly Dan’s voices.

So life goes on as usual….I discover more rock bands and stuff my computer to the hilt with mp3 files, face exams and more stress, get into more trouble like finding out I have to replace a library book I lost for RM100+, my commissions are overdue, my mom forever nagging me because she wants me to be skinny, overflowing tension….but I’m having fun.

No I’m not popular or special or deserve special attention because I’m emo and post suicidal and angry-at-my-dad posts on my blog….I don’t post emo pictures of myself on Friendster…I’m not super popular on DeviantArt because I post emo-looking pictures of myself or emo people there, unlike the legendary BellZ (who is frickin hawt by the way)….

Think of me as a Maria McMorbid (for you DevArt people), I like emo, but I’m not emo…I like the style, but not so much as the personality…I love the music, only because I find it amazing for emo artists to be able to express their feelings so well through rock. That goes for my love for rock as well, the rock I listen to usually expresses anger, sorrow and a sense of ethereal, fantasy-themed surreality (like stuff by Nightwish and Keane if you please), I love punk til I dress punk, but I don’t have to be angry at my dad or against the world for it to work. People over-react and are too judgmental I feel, they tend to jump to conclusions about a certain situation, and they tend to take things too seriously….I think cutting your wrists is stupid, I think suicide is borderline idiotic, and anger is overrated.

I enjoy my life….I embrace it…sorry to all you guys who are having a hard time in life when I say this, but you should appreciate what you have, be grateful for your life, treasure your life…cos it could be a helluva lot worse…it could be a lot worse….think of all those homeless kids, hunger and poverty-stricken, and like Silly Swonka says, "running around naked and starving"….think of those kids who never knew what it was like to have parents, or siblings or a sense of family whatsoever.

Lighten up, life’s too short to harbor hatred (kudos to those who can remember or figure which movie that was from). Like I said, things could be a lot worse. I have friends who are facing lots of problems at home but they are looking on the bright side of things. They’re being strong, taking life as it comes to them, and that is most admirable of them I must say. I might not be an expert or something and I definitely may not know how to be empathetic in this situation, I may not know how you feel, but being positive and realistic is my key to a happy life, regardless of whatever crap people throw at me. Exams are coming and I haven’t studied shit, I make do with it and maneuver my way through, I procrastinate, but I learn to work well under pressure, my mom and dad are disappointed in me for doing something wrong and constantly breathe down my neck about it, I endure it and try to make it up to them in a bigger way later, cos I know there are better things in life to dwell on then my sorrow or how my life sucks or is like crap.

Emo and suicidal people out there, if someone, say your parents or your broken relationships or whatever nonsense that upsets you, be it important or downright pathetic, be empathetic for the ones who are making your life suck ass and make the right decisions. Give your single mom a break, she’s doing the best she can.
If your boyfriend mistreats you, effing dump him, he’s not worth it, you’ve got bigger fish to catch. There are more things I’d like to say, but I can’t think of any because all I got in my head right now is the lyrics to "Into The Airwaves" by Jack’s Mannequin.

Okay I don’t even know why I started talking about this.
I’m gonna go do something else now.

Yeah, what this ramble will be about…rock bands and the finale of the first Amazing Race Asia. Joe Jer and Zabrina won the first ever Amazing Race Asia, and they’re also the first all-girl team winners in Amazing Race history. And I think a lot of us know they’re Malaysian… XD Yay go Malaysia! Finally something we did right!

Okay so the Taiwan earthquake had caused some problems here for us Malaysians. Slow connection and Limewire going into a slump. So I talked to some of my friends about this and they (Roger and Lilo) asked me to download and use Ares, another P2P sharing program. It’s actually pretty good. Faster than Limewire too. And it doesn’t take up so much visual memory… *grumbles at Limewire*

So I’ve been downloading a multitude of songs I didn’t get to download in the past month due to the concussion the Taiwan earthquake caused to Limewire. Here’s what I think about them…

Lithium by Evanescence - It’s Evanescence, need I say more? This one’s more goth, more emo, more angsty…the way I like em’. Amy Lee’s voice is so sharp it’ll make your ears bleed…..in a good way…
What Hurts The Most, Life is A Highway by Rascal Flatts - What Hurts The Most sounds soooo romantic and soooo angsty, OMG that country voice! Life is A Highway’s more upbeat and fun, it’s real cool! And it’s also the theme for the Disney movie Cars.
It’s Not Over by Chris Daughtry - This song rocks!!! GAH, I loved Chris ever since I saw him on American Idol in the first season! Plus, he looks like Bruce Willis.
This Ain’t A Scene, It’s An Arms Race by Fallout Boy - This song doesn’t sound very Fallout Boy but I can’t complain… XD I really love it, the unique and creative composition!
Over The Hills And Far Away by Nightwish - What to expect from one of my favorite bands? More opera goodness, more insane righteous guitar arrangements and more fantasy-fiction-themed composition. It’s less gothic than their other songs, but their symphonic brilliance is there, plus they added something I loved just as much…Celtic music.
Let Love In by The Goo Goo Dolls - John Rzeznik, frontman of the Goo Goo Dolls, is one of my fave rock band leads, after Jon Bon Jovi, Freddie Mercury, Axl Low, Hyde, Brendon Urie, gah I can’t remember anymore at the moment! He’s 41 and still rocking as hard as ever, hear this song, the intro still makes my heart melt.
Pain by Jimy Eat World - OMG, EMO GOODNESS! Jimmy Eat World as usual lives up to its name, they are so emo, I dunno what else to say about this song except..I LOVE IT! Screwy guitar arrangements make it sound so unique!
How To Save A Life by The Fray - Apparently i was introduced by my friend Nessa to this song cos she heard it on Grey’s Anatomy, I said "I’ve heard of it before! Karen told me about it!" and she said "Yeah, it’s a very Karen song!" and I was like….okay… O_o it does sound like a Karen song…it reminds me so much of Augustana’s Boston, a song Karen recommended me. It’s a beautiful song. Both are.
The Mixed Tape, Miss Delaney by Jack’s Mannequin - I was introduced to this band by Karen again, cos she heard The Mixed Tape on One Tree Hill, if I’m not wrong, and I decided to give it a go…ZOMG, it’s sooo emo/rock ballad, I was surprised since I was expecting something more like Augustana’s Boston. Miss Delaney’s like this too, only a little less emo and more happy.
Keep Holding On by Avril Lavigne - Jo says she doesn’t like this song. I don’t see why though…it’d exactly what Breakaway would sound like if Avril had sang it instead of Kelly Clarkson…and FYI all less-informed people out there, AVRIL wrote Breakaway.
Monsoon, Relative Ways by And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead - I know, painstakingly long name… O_o Anyway I came across this band as I was browsing through CDs in Speedy Subang Parade. I saw their So Divided album. The cover attracted me cos it looked like something that would come out of a fantasy-themed movie/game, like Kaena or World of Warcraft. I asked the salesguy to let me try it…they rock…their music sounds very Keane, very breathtaking and mystical, yet rough as the lead singer tends to sing like the lead of Def Leppard.
All My Friends Are Metalheads, The Rest Of My Life by Less Than Jake - I actually discovered All My Friends Are Metalheads when re-watching the American-dubbed version of Digimon: The Movie I got when I was younger. I feel all young again!
The Impression That I Get by Mighty Mighty Bosstones - Another track I got off the American-dubbed version of the Digimon: The Movie soundtrack. Very cute song!
Nowhere Near by Summercamp - Another song from the Digimon:The Movie American-dubbed version. This song’s so pop punk it makes me wanna scream CUTE out the window.
If Everyone Cared by Nickelback - Ah, the new Nickelback single! I love it! It’s angstier than the other Nickelback songs! I mean c’mon, If Everyone cared? It may not fall into the emo rock category but it screams EMO to me!
Story Of A Girl by Nine Days - Old song, but never thought of it till I heard it recently on the radio. Very pop punk, I absolutely adore this song, it’s adorable!
The Celebration Song by Unwritten Law - I don’t wanna put myself out here, but I was introduced to this song by my 9 year old sister… O_o She heard it (and memorized it) on Need For Speed Underground 2, and she kept singing it. I started playing the game and I heard it as I cruised down the highways (my favorite place to initiate Outrun races)…and it’s so emo…GOD I love it.
Honestly, If I Fail, Runaway, Save Us, Say Anything (Else) by Cartel - I heard Honestly on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show on Fly.fm, and I loved it so much I decided to try all their songs, and they rock. They’re a great punk rock band, they will do well in the industry, if only they had their big break. ZOMG WE MUST HELP! TRY THEM OUT!

I actually downloaded more songs, including some hip-hop and R&B ones but I find them needless to state here….but most of them come from the Take The Lead soundtrack. Como eh como eh sigue bailando y no pare, como eh como eh ay ay ay, como eh como eh sigue bailando y no pare, como eh como eh ay ay ay, ela se lu se pake la vea, ea ea ea, se menea se menea, bailando te rodea, baby wanna ride?

So my lecturer Mr. Indy tells us in Media History and Law class today, "Who’s got HBO at home? Go home, and watch Jerry Maguire, 9pm, great movie." And I could hear some murmurs of excitement, including mine, because I just love that movie. I said only some murmurs of excitement, because Jerry Maguire is a 1997 movie, and I don’t think many people of my time have actually watched it, I mean I was 8 when the movie was released in theaters.

I actually watched it the first time when I was about 13 I think. We heard Secret Garden by Bruce Springsteen on the radio in the car, and I don’t know if the original version was like this, but the radio edit had dialogues from the movie in it.

The famous ones like Cuba Gooding Jr.’s "If you don’t love her, you have to tell her", Tom Cruise’s "I love you. You complete me", and Renee Zellweger’s "You had me at hello." And the music was beautiful. Bruce Springsteen delivered, as usual. I was so interested, that my mom, who was ecstatic about it, told me what it was about and we managed to catch it on HBO.

I think this is one of Tom Cruise’s best movies. A Few Good Men was another one of his good ones. His recent ones…..weren’t that good *coughcough*WarOfTheWorlds*coughcough*. Uh, what else, Renee Zellweger was beautiful in the movie. Jerry Maguire was the one that made her famous. And she did pretty darn well! XD

But that’s basically not what this journal rant is about.
Jerry Maguire made me cry all over again. It’s so touching. I wish there were more movies that could make me cry. I love laughing at the movies, not that I’m getting bored or anything but it’s soooooo……….I dunno, common. Now crying at movies, that’s something different for me. When I cry at a movie, I know that is a good movie. There’s my favourite Armageddon, Jerry Maguire, Titanic, City of Angels, Ghost, 50 First Dates, My Girl, Pearl Harbor, The Terminal (you guys must be wondering how I cried at this one, you imagine Tom Hanks telling you about a promise he made to his late father and several close-ups on Catherine-Zeta Jones’ teary face) and so many more.

Nowadays I feel we’re getting more and more unnecessary, not to mention ridiculous movies. There’s Snakes On A Plane (ZOMGWTF?!), Little Man, Scary Movie (I’m not really complaining about this one), Zoom (which is a lousy Sky High rip-off btw), and Borat (but I wanna watch this one). Yeah I know they’re all comedy, well except for Snakes On A Plane, but still? Every time I go for a comedy, there’s some crackpot Ah Beng with his less crackpot Ah Lian girlfriend making loud wise cracks at everything the actors say or do. I mean, the movie’s ridiculous enough, how about people making silly and ridiculous remarks out loud at the same time. I don’t now about the rest of us, but I don’t need more weird and freaky comedic movies coming out and more less-educated/civilized Malaysians acting like ninnies at the theaters.

How about movies adapted from video games? Sure I’m a gamer, and yeah I like Japanese culture, but still? Look at it the logic way, whenever a movie based on a game ever comes out, think of it the way I do. Characters, Storyline and how a movie could possibly be made out of it. There’s movies like Dead Or Alive, based on the game of the same name. Funny I’m bringing this up because it was the most ridiculous and POINTLESS movie I’ve watched this year. And don’t get me wrong, I never bothered myself to watch it, I only watched it because it was playing at a New Year’s Party I went to recently.

Now, you know why I never bothered to watched that movie? DoA is a one on one fighting game. Like Street Fighter, King of Fighters, Guilty Gear and Mortal Kombat, it has its own storyline. However to me, DoA’s storyline was never as strong as the other fighting games, like SF, KoF and GG. And it always came off to me as a game with a multitude of sexy girls in raunchy outfits. And it was a fighting game, so girls in sexy outfits grappling each other, boobs bouncing up and down….it’s what I call…..FANSERVICE. Don’t even get me started on the DoA spin-off volleyball game. So sexy girls, barely any storyline, fighting and tackling each other and guy-gamers gaping in lust at those thighs and breasts rubbing against each other. What do you think the movie’s gonna be like? Exactly that.

And I was actually laughing out loud at the actress they picked to play Ayane. A-YA-NE, NINJA/SHINOBI, JAPANESE…and they make a weird and stupid mistake of casting a Caucasian (meaning white and non-Asian) actress for the role of Ayane.

I do admit that I think they picked the perfect Helena Douglas, because the actress whose name escapes me at the moment, looked just like her video game alter ego. BUT, due to poor script-writing, Helena in the movie is hyper active, totally contrasting her haughty and overconfident video game self.

How about more drama movies or romantic comedies, like 50 First Dates, There’s Something About Mary, 13 Going On 30, and The Wedding Singer, instead of things like Snakes On A Plane? I need more of these movies because SOME Malaysians are entitled to some culture!!

This is an essay (???) or better yet a story written by my friend Re-chan, a cookie for those who can guess what those words in bold are. Lolz, they’re actually songs by L’Arc~en~Ciel, or at least, those sung by Hyde. Yeah, apparently she had some free time, and she came up with this. Something angsty and fantasy-themed, really cool actually.

And I decided to try it out too!

Okay, so I’m a Basketcase. I’ve never been able to experience the "I Always Get What I Want" feeling. It’s really not my fault that I’m awkward and Unwanted. Nobody understands me. Why?

I want that person to come to me. The person who will Take Me Away, to a place where we’d always be Together. A person who will catch me when I am Losing Grip of the edge of this abyss…when I Let Go. I’ll say "I’m With You" and that would be My Happy Ending…

Well, these are my confessions. These are the Things I’ll Never Say, and All You Will Ever Know about me. I know that I’m Not The Only One who has these problems, but hey, all I wanted was a little attention. Is that Too Much To Ask? I’m being pathetic again. Anyway, you won’t be hearing from me for a while. I won’t be here Tomorrow You Didn’t hear it from me though…

So I used Avril Lavigne songs…well there’s Breakaway Kelly Clarkson sang, originally written by Avril…and Basketcase, originally written and released by Greenday, but Avril did a cover for that. So this is actually written from the POV of one of my OCs (yeah that’s what we artists do, we create original characters because we’re bored with our own routine-based lives).

OKAY SO I’M BASICALLY LIFELESS…..for today anyway. I’m feeling bored after watching Jerry Maguire so I decided to ramble and rant. Yay for bordeom and lifelessness. Yay me.

Okay I was in the middle of killing my final Rank V mark on Final Fantasy XII when I realised, HOOYAH! 2006 IS ALMOST GONE AND 2007 GETS READY STAGE LEFT!

Whoah, then while my mom tries to finish the whole of CSI Miami season 4 within her off week, I did some thinking. A lot of stuff happened in 2006… O_o that well meant a lot to me.

Wow this is gonna get corny.

STUFF THAT HAPPENED TO ME IN 2006 *insert cool theme music here*

- I started college. And I love it. I feel so liberated! This is the best time of my life!
- I got my first RL (real-life) commission, doing album cover art for Jamaican singer Daddy Roots who my Aunt Ping manages. I’m doing another one for him that’s due in Jan 2007.
- I bought my tablet, Oboro with the commission money I got from Daddy Roots. Oboro’s a blue Wacom Graphire 4.
- I started performing in college, both dancing and singing. It’s pretty cool.
- I discovered VG Cats by Canadian Scott Ramsoomair. It changed my life. It’s still doing it now, I’ve learnt to appreciate dry humor and sarcasm. Thank you Scott.
- I experienced my first anniversary on DeviantArt. Wow it’s been a year, thanks everyone at DA for supporting me!
- I went to my first prom. JUBILATIONS! This is how liberated I feel after spending my high school years in an all-girls school.
- Me and my friends Ean, Kuuki and Sagani debuted at Comic Fiesta 2006 as Dai Ichiban Desu.
- I went to Genting Highlands 3 times this year. Once for fun, once for Christmas and one more this Sunday for New Year’s.
- I bought my first bottle of expensive perfume. It was a big bottle of Tommy Hilfiger True Star. Yeah the one Beyonce’s a spokesperson for, it cost RM250 plus I got two Tommy Girl bags free.
- I reminisced with Carmen and Sue (2 of my dearest friends) just recently about how we met when I was…..9? Or something, and we realized how much fun we’ve been having and how far we’ve gotten in life since then.
- I won a contest on DA and received a DMC3 doujinshi as a prize from the organisers of the contest, in Indonesia. The person who drew it is my dear friend Tissi or Tc-chan, also from Indonesia.
- I bought Hyung-Tae Kim’s Oxide 2X for my birthday. I love his artwork.
- I started downloading Christmas songs by famous and popular artists. I’ve got Mariah Carey, Celine Dion and N’Sync.
- My mom’s camera pouch started to shed its color in dust. Because I put it in my bag along with my manga, my volumes 1 and 3 of Peacemaker Kurogane got stained by the dust and it won’t come off for good.
- I became an art-whore. I scout for good artists on Gaia to draw for me.
- I’ve become awfully familiar with Sunway Pyramid. I know where everything is now.
- I’ve become a computer geek. I know stuff about computers the average girl wouldn’t know about computers.
- I watched in awe, an absolute pro play House Of The Dead 4 with one calm hand and with the ability to talk and entertain his bored girlfriend at the same time.
- My curfew got extended, I can now stay out considerably late.
- My parents announced to us that we’re gonna be getting a PS3 once the console hits here. It’s compensation for not getting us a puppy for Christmas. I have no complaints whatsoever.
- An actual installation to the FF series was released: Final Fantasy XII.
- I got an MP3 player. 1GB, got tons of songs in it.
- I started my manga Desperado Saga in February. As of then it’s got 6 pages. Yay for procrastination.
- I made my own website. It was meant to be my web-manga, Desperado Saga, but then I think I’ll rebuild it.
- I got even closer to my best friend Mandy. She still schemes for me to kidnap her home whenever we meet up with each other.

Well that’s pretty much all I can think of now. So now what do we do?
New Year’s resolutions duh!

- Study hard and get good enough grades to get a scholarship. I wanna go to Australia.
- Stop procrastinating. Get stuff finished quicker. Like my commishes and manga.
- Play lotsa games as usual and become an even more hardcore gamer than before.
- Get a better computer. Mine’s dying due to lack of capacity.
- Improve my drawing/coloring skills. There’s always room for improvement.
- Play lots and lots of House Of The Dead and be as good as the guy pro I saw.
- Make Dai Ichiban Desu a bigger hit at Comic Fiesta 2007.

Okay I remember I had a horribly boring 2-month last sem break…cos I had nothing to do…maybe I’m getting compensation or something! XD

My final paper ended at 5…. (stoopit time-table) a bunch of my friends and I went to watch Death Note…it was awesome…but I think they made Ryukku a little too funny, you know compared to the anime and manga? ^^;;;

Then a weekend later we had a sleepover at Kerry’s house! Sweei, Jacqkie and I…since Jacq had never been to Klang and Sweei was not familiar with it, we kinda took them sight-seeing? XD Hehe we played lotsa games, told stories til 6 in the morning…. O_o

Oh, sad thing, we didn’t get to join the Inter-college Battle of the Bands after all…. XD Kerry, Jacq, Karen and I thought joining would be cool, and we’d get some of our friends to play with us…then maybe we could go on to make our very own band one day… ROFL…but then Kerry got this idea that an all-girl band would TOTALLY kill the audience….and there blew the options for band members… O_o I mean we do have gal friends who play instruments, but they either aren’t close or just got their own band already… XD

I swear when I learn how to drive, I’m so gonna learn how to play the drums, or guitar…whichever… XD Anyway it’s been nearly a month since my last performance (prom) so I’m actually like…dying to perform again, maybe I’ll get a shot during CF, I get to sing in Japanese….I’m thinking….katakoto no koi? XD

I was a temp for my mom’s company (Gartner) at a seminar for their latest and very important client, Telekom Malaysia…me and my bro were receptionists… XD we registered people, handed them files, told them where the bathroom was…but it was worth sitting 9 hours there, cos it’s RM150 a day (there was some discussion about the pay, it’s regardless how many people are working), so my bro and I got RM75 the first day. Then the second day, since my bro didn’t wanna be bored off his ass, I got my cousin Jo to temp too…XD after we finished, my mom had to go for dinner with her colleagues, so she dropped me and Jo off at Subang Parade and uh, we walked… XD I bought a Bon Jovi live CD…. XD it has now joined my two Deff Leppard live in USA 94 series ones sitting in my shelf.

Jo and I did a lot of exchanging information, as in introducing bands and songs. She gave me some songs to download and I introduced her to Relient K (they need more love!)…I burned her some songs to take home too… ^^ (finally got empty CDs)

What I’ve been doing lately? Um, been downloading Ouran High School Host Club and Death Note anime. I was never interested in Ouran, but my friends kept talking about it so I decided to go ahead and try it anyhoo. XD I love it though. Been playing Final Fantasy XII
like crazy….cos I needed to catch up… XD Balthier’s hot. I’m busy hunting marks now, cos I want to go up ranks, get rewards, money, go up some levels, and maybe complete a side-quest or so (like the one you get after defeating the Flowering Cactus mark). I really wanna continue Disgaea 2 too, but uh….I’m too busy playing FFXII ROFL.

Oooh! After such a long time waiting, Oxide has come! Well you see there’s this guy called Hyung-Tae Kim (don’t jump to your feet and call me a hypocrite for not liking Korean dramas JUST YET, Korean-centric people!) who does wonderful artwork for the Korean game franchises: War of Genesis and Magna Carta. His artwork; character designs, details and coloring skills, are absolutely amazing! Since it was from Korea instead of Japan I thought it’d be hard to find in Malaysia, considering I’ve checked the artbook section of Kinokuniya like a gazillion times. Then this one fateful day I think a month before my birthday, I saw 2 copies of Hyung-Tae Kim’s Oxide on a shelf in Kino, I was all hyper and giddy. I returned after my birthday to get it (as a gift from my parents) but it was gone! XP Sold out! I told the salesperson in charge to order a copy for me and keep me notified if a copy comes in. Well guess what? He called me recently and told me it’s here! XD I’m getting it this Saturday, I’m so psyched!

I’ve also been busy with my artwork for Comic Fiesta, yeah I’m selling artwork at CF this year, under my doujin group: Dai Ichiban Desu, with my friends Sagani, Kuuki and Memai! It’s our debut, hope we’ll get as much support as we need!

Our booth’s right next to Crest07’s booth too (I MADE IT HAPPEN XD!). We’ll be able to chat with Kak Xanseviera, Lily, Sapph, Nutz and everyone else!

NO I did not become prom queen…. ROFL! Punk Rock Prom Queen is the title of a Josie & The Pussycats song XD (Archies fan right here!)…I couldn’t resist using it as a title for yet another blog-post about…..my prom of course… O_o

Okay I’ve freed up some things on my list but I have my finals coming up so I’m still busy… T_T This sucks…the rain’s been bothering me like crazy cos it affects my inspiration so I’m stuck with art blocks for the rest of the week.

Anyway I went for my prom on the 27th of October. It was held at the Grand Park
Royal Hotel. The theme was Journey of a Milestone and the colors chosen
were white, gold and silver…
It was actually TCHT’s prom (Taylor’s College School of Hotel
Management and Tourism) but they needed help from the SoC (School of
Communication), so it’s actually our prom too…

So I didn’t get a white, gold or silver dress, no way! I got a black one, I just added gold, white and silver accesories!
I wore a gold-colored bead string necklace, gold earrings, a gold,
white and silver crystal bracelet (my mom’s, I swear it’s such a
coincidence!), another silver bracelet and gold-ish, silver-ish high
platform sandals.

We had an 8-course chinese dinner. It was when the second dish just
arrived that me and Kerry had to scoot off for our performance, but our
friends saved some food for us… we performed Monica’s You Should’ve Known Better…I swear, that song’s like stuck in my head, gosh darnit!

My friends and I then danced till 11.40pm, we were all sweaty and
stuff…the dance floor was open and initially quite empty, but it was actually Kerry, Jacqkie, Carol and I who started the dance party cos the TCHT
students, being the chinesey people they were, all took out their
cameras and started taking like a gazillion pictures of themselves and
the silly "poke my cheek with my fingers in a peace sign" pose… They only started dancing like…10 minutes after we started…

We (me, Kerry, Syafiq, Jacqkie, Swee Wei, Carol, Alvin and Denise) then left and went to………Asia Cafe in Subang Jaya… our usual hangout…and mamak (um, for non-Malaysians, it means to loiter and have tea? ) there till 1.30am. I then went home with Kerry and Syafiq and reached my house at 2.30am…

Anyway for a first prom, it was a most enjoyable experience… My performance was pretty good too if I do say so myself!

Recently went to Carmen’s place in Damansara to celebrate her birthday. She’s 17 with me this year, yay! Yeah, I didn’t bring a camera, and she didn’t have one (weird…) so we couldn’t take pictures….Oh snap… XP

I know I know, what’s with the Ph3aR m3H!!!! right? Cos’ I’ve been reading lotsa VG Cats comics lately, it’s this online comic done by this Canadian guy Scott Ramsoomair, and OMG he’s hilarious…

VG Cats stands for Video Game Cats, and the two main characters are this perverted idiot gray cat named Leo Leonardo and a grumpy Devil-May-Care pink cat named Aeris.

I love his comics, making fun of video games and such….there was one comic where he touched on the origins of chocolate milk. There was an evil demon bunny king who wanted to get his hands on mineral eggs (Easter Bunny, get it?). He forced the fairy people to mine for these mineral eggs. They couldn’t take it anymore at one point and retaliated against him. They pulled out all their teeth (ooh, BLOOD) and threw them at the Bunny Demon King. Slain, the Bunny King’s chocolate blood flowed into the rivers of milk and the fairy people drank the milk in thanks. Then everyday the fairies would collect loose teeth in fear of the Bunny King returning (Tooth Fairy, get it?).

Well there are a few online games he made comics of, like CounterStrike
and Ragnarok Online where at some part of the storyline, some fucktard
noob (newbies for you….uh…noobs) comes and messes everything up…

Bwahahahaha, hilarious….I stopped playing online games a long while ago, I’m more concentrated on console games now (conquering Onimusha 4, GWAHAHA!) but I still meet total noobs online on forums such as Gaia Online.

I run 3 accounts on Gaia Online, Shinobi_Seppuku being my main one, ItoMaki-chan and 3Lf-GaL being my mules. Then one day I decided to transfer some of my items to Shinobi from 3Lf so I logged on to 3Lf to start a transaction and, I discover I had mail….like tons of it, from noobs, begging for gold, and items….and even avvie art!! I swear if they don’t stop askin me for art, I’m tearing down my gallery at the Art Arena…it seems to be the place where noobs look for avvie artists… *death glares*

And the language they use, on a forum ya?, is atrocious! What can’t these people spell?! I know some short words are cool, and people use acronyms like OMFG, WTH, ROFL and LMAO. But what’s with mispelling everything?! and would it kill them to use capital letters and even symbols?! There’s this one guy here on Friendster (not gonna say who) who writes to me everything he wants to say in a lower case…..sentence…yeap, ONE sentence…no full stops, question marks, not even a comma. And he was asking if I wanted to meet up and yamcha….I don’t think so buddy… OwO;;;

Some noobs beg for items on Gaia like there’s no tomorrow…. *glares daggers* I mean, c’mon, with the amount of posting, begging and pming these noobs do, they can earn a lot of gold!! Go buy your own stuff! There was one guy who pmed me, showed me his photo (WTF, for what?!) wanting a Fox Tail to complete his dream avvie, and I was kind enough to tolerate him and give him one (cos’ I had 2)…later he pms me and asks "Sup? Nice to meet you, Did I show you my picture? I think I have" and I was like "Go throw yourself over a cliff you ungrateful little maggot…"

+For two weeks, I’ve been staying back in school for at least 2 hours everyday, to practice a dance routine our club (Music n’ Dance Community) is doing for our seniors’ Cross-Culture Extravaganza thing.

Well anyway, I’ve been finding time to relax also, no time to draw and finish any of my Dai Ichiban Desu, Crest07 or Gaia artstuffs cos well, my Photoshop’s expired (cos my pc crashed I had to re-install a trial)….but I’ve been playing games. Sengoku Basara’s beginning to bore me a little, so I started playing Dark Cloud again, and got up to Chapter 4, that is before I accidentally over-wrote the file with my sister’s (now in Chapter 2). Joy… -_- So I gave up, went out and got more games, and I was so busy that I totally forgot that FFVII: Dirge of Cerberus was released in North America…O_o So I bought it, along with Phantom Brave (I’ve actually bought it before, but it was in Japanese… T_T) and started playing it. Whoa, and I thought I’d never get myself to play a First-Person Shooter… O_o DoC’s gameplay rocks! It’s kinda similar to playing Counter-Strike, environments are kinda like Resident Evil 4-ish, even the random shops and items lying around. Maybe after getting myself used to DoC’s gameplay, I’ll continue my now-hanging RE4 XD.

I ended up talking about games instead of how busy I am… O_o

Last weekend, I got the best thing ever, a blue A6 sized Wacom Graphire 4 tablet. It’s so beautiful…. ^_^ I call him Oboro (don’t ask me why)!

Lolz, he’s been helping me with my artwork a lot, my CGing is a lot smoother now. I mean, even my brother noticed the difference in my artwork. I can finally say "I know how to do the Hyung-Tae Kim style, dammit!!!"

Yeah Oboro’s been real helpful… ^_^ I love him….I’ve always wanted to get a tablet, but never had the money for one, until Daddy Roots, that Jamaican singer I may have mentioned back a few blog entries, asked me to do a draft artwork for his album, and he paid me (thru Aunt Ping Lai) USD100. So there we go, enough money to buy the latest Wacom model, with change too! He may be asking me to do an 8-koma manga for his album insert, that one’s gonna end up giving me USD200. BWAHAHAHAHA! XD

Then guess what? My computer broke down. Before it starts, it restarts. Before my desktop comes up, it restarts, everytime…Yeah. Using my brother’s now. Do you know what that means?! It means I won’t be able to get all my work done, and I won’t get to use Oboro! I have currently 7 illustrations and a 15 page manga to do for Dai Ichiban Desu, an 8 page manga for Crest07, 3 art trades, 10 Gaian commisions, a 1 page one-shot for Tc of Indonesia, and one last Gaian auction prize. I’m screwed. The deadlines for most of this aren’t near, but it takes a while to finish this much work! And I couldn’t get to use Oboro for very long… T_T

Oh well, my mom’s taken the pc to get it fixed, I wonder how long it’s gonna take. Hopefully all my files are still intact. All my pictures, my artworks, my manga, my OCIs and PSDs (OpenCanvas and Photoshop files), all the fonts and brushes I downloaded, all my videos I made (I had lotsa free time) and my MUSIC.

Which reminds me, I’m a 16 year old girl, living in Klang, Malaysia. I should be listening to hip-hop, R&B, or bubblegum pop, like every other normal girl. However, I listen to rock. I thought I was just a punk and nu metal person, but now I’m into all kinds. All kinds of rock. O_o But do you have any idea what I’m obssessed with now? Classical and old-school rock. I’m serious, I’ve been listening to Queen(Another One Bites The Dust rocks) a lot more recently, I’ve been downloading Aerosmith (Stewven Tyler rocks), U2, Bon Jovi (his older songs), Deff Leppard (POUR SOME SUGAR ON ME IN THE NAME OF LOVE!!!), AC/DC, Deep Purple and some others. I haven’t tried some more famous ones yet, like The Ramones, Led Zeppellin, Metallica, Sex Pistols but I’m getting there. So I like uncle rockers. I’ve been trying to get myself into heavy metal/hard rock too. Recently I was in Leng’s car and we were listening to Seether, he’s not bad. I’ve been listening to the Guilty Gear soundtrack a lot, all the rock in there’s like real heavy. Cos well, the game is the most highly rock-influenced game ever…I mean come on! They have a character named Axl Low, whose name and looks are based on Guns n’ Roses front man, Axl Rose! All 4 Queen member names are inserted somewhere in the game too.

So don’t get me wrong, I may listen to uncle rockers, but I still listen to new music okay? Really feeling Nickelback, Relient K, The Veronicas, and Nightwish. Leng introduced them to me, love their Kinslayer, EMO ROCK RIGHTEOUS!So basically, I’m a rock enthusiast.

I’ve been locked up in my room a lot, without my music. I can’t use Oboro since well my brother’s computer doesn’t have Photoshop. So I plugged my computer’s speakers to my MP3 player. GOD, I haven’t updated the songs in here so I’m listening to a lot of punk and J-Rock here. I want my uncle rockers!!! T_T So in my room I tend to get bored, drawing doesn’t seem to satisfy me, so I’ve been playing Guilty Gear lots. GGXXSlash, latest installment of the game, featuring A.B.A from Isuka and Order Sol. Been finishing every character’s Level 1 missions one by one, until Potemkin, cos I hate him, he’s too heavy to move and his moves are hard to execute. Axl was extremely hard to use as his special attacks were hard to execute. I mean…↓→→↓← + HS? I got a blister and so for the rest of anyone else’s missions, I had to wear a glove on my left hand, the one whish I use to do directional buttons.

Wow long rant. I guess that’s about it for now. I doubt anyone would actually read all this crap, but it’s my life, well, a part of my life, and so if anyone’s reading out there, get a load of the life of the rocker gurl who’s not afraid to admit she listens to old, but righteously rockin’ music and who’s not afraid to admit she’s a video game geek. I DO have a life okay!? A real headbanging, black-colored infested, button-mashing one at that!
